Serving Urbandale, IA

The Mercedes-Benz GLC is the premium crossover that many local drivers in the Des Moines area are drawn to when they focus on performance and luxury. The GLE SUV sits directly above the GLC model. It is larger and offers enhanced features in exchange for a higher price. At Mercedes-Benz of Des Moines, we want to help with your next luxury crossover SUV selection. Both of these beautiful models have individualized appeal, and we will support you as you find the model that lives up to your expectations.

Performance

The 2021 GLC SUV is a two-row crossover that is only available with a 2.0-liter, turbo I-4 engine. It draws 255 horsepower from this engine. A nine-speed automatic transmission is standard, and both rear-wheel and 4MATIC® all-wheel drive are available. The 2021 GLE SUV, on the other hand, has three powertrains. The first powertrain is identical to the GLC’s engine. The mid-range powertrain is a 2.0-liter, I6 turbo, EQ Boost engine that generates 362 horsepower. The top powertrain for the 2021 GLE SUV is a bi-turbo V8, 4.0-liter engine with EQ Boost. It generates 483 horsepower.

Appearance

With a comparable profile and with the Mercedes-Benz logo emblazoned on the grille, these models are clearly siblings. However, the 2021 GLC SUV has two strong definition lines on the sides, a metallic skid plate, integrated roof rails, and prominent headlights that are outlined with an LED ribbon. The 2021 GLE SUV, on the other hand, comes with running boards, raised roof rails, a single bar in the grille design, and dual accents at the corners of the headlights.

Features

Are you still trying to decide which of these crossovers is worthy of your full attention? The three-row GLE is substantially larger inside the cabin. Both models have folding functionality for the rear rows, an automatic climate control system, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and more. The GLC adds a multi-function display screen for the instrument panel, a 10.25-inch multimedia screen, voice control, natural language understanding, and more. The GLE SUV adds a power sunroof, a 12.3-inch multimedia screen, five USB ports, a navigation system, and other exceptional features.
